Legitimate entries from IT pros, consultants, and the like that tell a real story about storage issues in virtual servers will get you at least a tee shirt. We reserve the right to limit the number of prizes per story, but if multiple people are involved in your story, feel free to tell us. If you’re a technology vendor, especially a competitor, we reserve the right not to award you a prize. You understand.
We won’t publish your story without your permission, so anything you send is just between us unless you say otherwise. If we want to publish your story, we’ll contact you.
Here are some questions to get your creative juices flowing:
- How far have you gotten into your server virtualization project?
- Have you implemented Hyper-V?
- What storage solutions (software and hardware) have you tried? Why do you like them? What isn't so good about them?
- Are you happy with what it's costing you?
- How's your I/O performance? Does it degrade as you add VMs?
- Are you seeing storage consumption problems due to VM sprawl?
- Have you tried snapshots to reduce space wastage? How have they performed?
- How about the provisioning, data protection, and performance management aspects of your virtual server storage?
